At these age groups, we provide an environment to allow coaches to develop the technical, tactical, physical and mental/social aspects of each individual player within the academy using a player-centred approach.
During this phase, players will learn to compete and to develop effective ball manipulation techniques that can be transferred to game-related scenarios.
Pitch based training will take place 2/3 times a week with match generally taking place at the weekend. To supplement this a strength and conditioning programme will be provided for each player.
In order to enhance the limited time coaches have with the teams, Ballymena United Youth Academy will also provide a 4-week online course to help players continue their learning at home.
